IATA Cargo-XML Messaging Adoption Grows

The e-Air Waybill (e-AWB) project is set to achieve 15% global penetration by the end of 2012. The Cargo eXtensible Markup Language (Cargo-XML) standards are a crucial component to the successful implementation of e-AWB.

To assess the readiness of the industry to adopt Cargo-XML, IATA conducted a series of surveys with member airlines and ground handling agents (GHAs).
The results reveal a positive trend towards industry adoption of IATA Cargo-XML Message messaging standards.
