Jaehn Succeeds Ogiermann at CargoLogic Germany

Only days after CLG obtained their Air Operator’s Certificate from the German regulator, the company confirmed a change at top management level with MD Ulrich Ogiermann exiting the
carrier and Johannes Jaehn taking over at the helm. Those close to the case are saying that Jaehn was CLG majority owner Alexey Isaikin’s preferred candidate.

While Uli Ogiermann spends his holiday in Greece after months of hard work to secure the AOC for CargoLogic Germany, at CLG’s home base Leipzig news popped up today that Mr Jaehn would succeed
him with immediate effect. What initially was spread as rumor, was now officially confirmed.
With Jaehn, a manager takes over command, who has never been in the position of senior executive at an airline. Coming originally from OBI DYI superstore, where he headed the logistics unit, he
stepped into the aviation world in October 2015, becoming COO and Managing Director of the east German airport alliance MFAG (Leipzig-Halle / Dresden). During his tenure, cargo figures developed
positively reaching 1,2 million tons last year, putting Leipzig Airport in second place as a German gateway for freight, behind Frankfurt but ahead of Cologne.
Last June, however, he left the MFAG ahead of schedule by “mutual agreement.” His contract would have run until the end of September 2020. Reasons for the decision were not disclosed.
Now, only three months later, Jaehn is back in Leipzig, taking over responsibility at CargoLogic Germany. The carrier intends to start operations with their two leased B737-400P2F but hasn’t yet
announced a date for the launch flight.
Mr Ogiermann told CargoForwarder Global that he will continue his commitment during the next couple of weeks but only in a role as consultant. “My official duty as Managing Director ended on the
day the regulator granted CargoLogic Germany the OAC.”
