TAPping into digital booking potentials!

The partnerships are coming through thick and fast over at cargo.one. After an intense and successful integration phase, TAP Air Cargo went online today, 06JUL20, offering European
forwarders access to real-time offers and capacities across its network.

As Bernardo Nunes, Senior Manager for Product, Services & Business Development at TAP Air Cargo who led the transformation process on the airline side, put it: “At TAP Air Cargo we want
our customers to have the best digital experience. By partnering with cargo.one we offer all our destinations 24/7 with full booking control. Search, chose, book.”

The go-live from today means that cargo.one customers in key European cargo countries such as Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, and
France now have access to TAP Air Cargo’s offers which not only include all its “preighter” flights, but opens up links to attractive African, North American and Latin American
destinations.
More TAP Air Cargo markets will be made available soon on cargo.one.

cargo.one expands its reach
With TAP Air Cargo’s destinations such as Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), Newark (EWR), in the U.S., Fortaleza (FOR), Guarulhos – Sao Paolo (GRU), and Rio de Janeiro (GIG), in Brazil, Luanda (LAD) in
Angola, or Maputo (MPM) in Mozambique, cargo.one is also broadening its global service in North America, Latin American and Africa.
The partnership also marks another feather to cargo.one’s cap when it comes to bringing the platform together with any airline’s core systems, and Moritz Claussen, cargo.one’s Founder and
Managing Director, applauds the collaboration on both sides to make the project happen: “TAP Air Cargo is a prime example of an airline that leveraged and augmented its existing systems
through collaboration and with a can-do-mindset. Throughout COVID-19, our teams have been working hand in hand to achieve fantastic and tangible results under extraordinary circumstances. The
integration process has set another industry benchmark.”

TAP’s digital strategy
TAP Air Cargo is following a serious digitalization agenda, having recently pushed for eAWB adoption as just one of the topics it is pursuing to facilitate and improve digital processes with the
airline.
cargo.one’s “first-class booking experience” is now another tick in the box, as Miguel de Paiva Gomes, Global Chief Cargo Officer of TAP illustrates: “Offering customers a
first-class service and seamless booking experience from A-Z with the help of technology is one of our key aspirations in our digitalization strategy. cargo.one empowers us to digitize a crucial
part of our value chain and thus, to increase operational efficiency while at the same time reducing substantial costs. Together with this experienced partner, we will be able to drive innovation
much faster.”

Bernardo Nunes is delighted with the solution: “cargo.one enabled us to build upon existing structures and has given us a lot of new functionalities. Together with their integration expert
team that took lots of work off our shoulders, we managed to set up a future-proof system.”
