A new direct service between Kiev and Düsseldorf has been started by Ukraine International Airlines. The flight by B737 will operate six times per week offering a cargo capacity of two tons per flight to and from the airport of Boryspil(KBP/UKBB), Ukraine’s main international hub handles around 65% of the country’s passenger traffic. Cargo handling has been awarded to Düsseldorf Airport Cargo with cargo sales awarded to GSSA, Globe Air Cargo.

Thomas Schürmann Manager Marketing and Sales for DUS Cargo comments: “Even though 12 tons per week is modest capacity, it is a very useful route for our shippers as, this airline operates onward connections to a wide range of destinations including Moscow, Baku, Istanbul, and Tel Aviv plus many more. The cargo terminal in Kiev operates excellent facilities which include a temperature controlled warehouse, Ukraine post and DHL Logistics centre. We are pleased to be awarded the ground handling and are confident that this will be a successful project”.
