First winter storm of 2018: 3,600 flights cancelled and airports close

Not even global warming wants to help the incumbent US administration, with airlines having had to scrap more than 3,400 flights today as a result of storms in one of the worst winters in US history. Voyage Report claims 160 flights have already been scrapped for Friday, adding that two South Carolina airports had closed as a result of “severe” and “icy” conditions caused by a “bomb cyclone” tearing down the coast. …
