Lufthansa reaches air cargo anti-trust settlement with Deutsche Bahn

After six years of negotiation, Deutsche Bahn and Lufthansa have reached an undisclosed settlement concerning an alleged cargo cartel and the German flag-carrier’s participation in it. The price-fixing cartel is said to have operated between 1999 and 2006, carriers colluding on fuel and security surcharges. Air Cargo News reports that today’s settlement ends a dispute stretching back to 2013.
